Dear Praying Friends,
October is always a special month of milestones. On the 11th, we completed 48 years of marriage; and on the 12th Darrel’s mother, Elizabeth Haworth, celebrated her 97th birthday!
In July we asked you to pray for our Iguape Pastor’s father who has since died with cancer. Praise the Lord that he accepted Christ before dying.
Our Dream for Uniao Baptist Church

Recently, the Lord has been teaching some of our ladies about anger. One was scheduled for surgery… using the government health plan. She went to the hospital very early in the morning, fasting. All day long she waited… tired, thirsty, hungry. In the evening the doctor cancelled all remaining surgeries. He would do no more. She angrily expressed her feelings before leaving the hospital. Later, on the bus, she reflected, “I prayed for the Lord’s will to be done. Now, I don’t want to accept it. But really, who wants to be operated on by an exhausted surgeon?”
